CINI’s shelters for children in distress
The drop in centre is an extremely valuable contact point that provides shelter, protection, counselling, medical support and education to children that have had a traumatic past and need to be mainstreamed into a normal life. Helping child labourers get back into education
CINI works within slum areas to identify children who are child labourers and out of the education system. After convincing their parents that their children should not be working, they are taken to a community based preparatory centre to increase their academic knowledge and eventually become mainstreamed into formal schools.
