Running, curry nights or cycle trek’s through India – there are hundreds of ways you can help to raise funds for our work. On your own, through school or work, or with a community group, the money you raise will make a big difference.

Cook for Life
We’re pleased to announce the launch of our ‘Cook for Life’ curry night. You can have a fun night in with friends while helping mothers and children in India. All you have to do is invite some friends round for a curry and a glass of wine and ask them for a donation in return. You can set the amount you want them to pay but remember every penny counts!
We’ve created an easy fundraising guide with everything you need to get started. This pack includes plenty of ideas and suggestions to help make your ‘Cook for Life’ event easy, fun and successful!

Games night - have a marathon board games session and get sponsored for every hour you complete. Or have a computer games knockout tournament, charge people to enter and have a prize for the winner.
Tea & Cake – you can help support our vital work just by having a cuppa with your friends, family and colleagues! You could charge for a cup of tea or a piece of cake. You could even host afternoon tea or hold a tea party with the kids - perfect for school, nurseries or young families. Invite your friends round with their children to a party with miniature tea sets and teddies for fun games and face painting.
Quiz –have fun testing everyone’s general knowledge, just ask for entry money for the chance to win a small prize.
Dress up or down day - why not have a ‘dress up day’ for everyone to turn up in a costume or wear a silly hat or a ‘dress down day’ for the whole office or school to wear their jeans. Just ask for a donation and double it for those who fail to dress up or down!
Easter, Summer or Xmas Fete - set up fun stalls and sell home-made crafts, plants and cakes.
Karaoke night – sing for a good cause in a karaoke bar or on a games console with a microphone.
However you choose to get involved in fundraising please remember that the money you raise will help to transform lives and every penny counts! Maybe there are ways to add extra fundraising to your event – adding an auction, quiz or games could add to the amount you raise; matched giving by your work can double funds raised and the Gift Aid scheme allows us to claim back the tax paid on eligible donations made by individuals. You can increase the money you raise by asking each donor to fill in a Gift Aid declaration form (click here to download). Decided on a fundraising idea? Then let us know about it and we’ll do our best to support you. One of the easiest ways to fundraise is to set up a fundraising page on the Just Giving website.
All you need to do is provide information and a picture about your challenge or event. Once the page is created, email the link to everyone you know and ask for their support. You can add any offline donations to the page to track the total donations pledged. The funds you raise will automatically be donated to CINI UK and we will send you a thank you!
